Match 49 : Kings XI Punjab vs Deccan Chargers

What a match that turned out to be - Deccan Chargers’ match yesterday against Knight Riders. Will that last ball inspire an even better performance or the near screw up get them jittery against the rivals from Punjab who too are keen to win this match against Hyderabad to keep their hopes alive. This one is going to be a cracker of a contest. I’ve already booked my lucky seat!

Match 48 : Knight Riders vs Deccan Chargers

The Knight Riders have seemingly taken a vow to spoil the semifinal chances of at least one team before they pack up for home. It could possibly be today with Deccan desperately trying to get back to their top four position and Kings XI having shown the way to beat the Daredevils have made the competition tougher. May the best team win!

Match 47 : Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians

The Super Kings are just a win away from confirming their semifinal berth. The Mumbai Indians are in a need to not give even a win away to keep their hopes alive. It’s the battle between the Master Blaster and the Captain Cool. And like it has always been throughout the tournament, it’s all about who dominates the last five overs of the match that is going to decide this one! Both teams are dear to me and I don’t want to take a pick here! :(

Tests vs T20

Posted by Anand on May 15th, 2009

People have been speculating the death of test matches ever since T20 took the world by storm. Ranji trophy has been around for ages and we have not cared less, but IPL has got all of us glued to the TV from its first edition itself.

So, hypothetically, if there is a decision to take to scrap one of them - Tests or T20, which one would you scrap? Do you think we should do away with Tests to make way for more T20 or other way round?

As for myself, I cannot see test cricket dying. I love it..

Match 46 : Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Daredevils

The tournament cannot be more open than it is right now. Where did the Royal Challengers spring from? How did the Deccan Chargers dip down from the top? Can you believe that the Kings XI are now second from the bottom? If there is one thing that Delhi can do in adding to the confusion, it would be to lose to the Kings XI today so there is more mayhem.

For the sake of pepping up more excitement to the tournament, I pray for this!

Match 45 : Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals

Mumbai Indians won a blinder of a contest against Kings XI and today would be aiming for a hat-trick against the Royals. The Royals on the other hand have been losing their key players one by one. Kamran Khan was first and now the Spin wizard himself is out with a hamstring injury. Only a miracle can save the Royals and it is pretty clear that that won’t happen today.

Match 44 : Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings

The Royal Challengers might be in a great inspired mood after Taylor’s innings in the last match. But how much of that is going to count against the Super Kings who look like nothing can stop them. Yes, the fielding sucks a bit and Dhoni’s men would be keen on improving that aspect of the game as well as they would go all out to clinch one another match…7th in a row..

The Best IPL Team Owner?

Posted by Anand on May 13th, 2009

Who do you think has been the best IPL owner?

Is it Shahrukh who left midway after seeing his team not win even a couple of matches
Is it Shilpa who never seems to leave the VVIP stands when the match is on
Is it Nita Ambani who has flown in leaving her children to fend for themselves during exam
or Has it been Preity who has been a big motivator?
Who?

Match 43 : Delhi Daredevils vs Deccan Chargers

Sehwag is back and that will surely be playing on the minds of the Deccan Chargers when they strive to get the momentum going. But the Chargers are not short of ammunition either. They have a terrific weapon in the form of Andrew Symonds and this is going to be one match you wouldn’t want to miss.

Match 42 : Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab

This is going to be a killer of a match; especially as it comes under the backdrop of a thumping Deccan Chargers’ win yesterday. Mumbai Indians need to win this one to keep their semifinals’ hope alive and so do the Kings XI. This one match is going to be a real life demonstration of the survival of the fittest as the two teams fight for that one spot in the last four. I really want the Mumbai Indians to rock this one!
